Boon and Bane

Base-Concept inspired by Teiresias. (isn't Greek mythology just great? )

I actually always hope for people to interpret their own ideas and feelings in my pictures, but in case you're curious here's what I thought while drawing:

Blindness/Eyeball --> see Teiresias. I think Snape got blinded in some way, but with realizing his faults he gained the *gift* of vision - not in the prophet-sense, but - ugh, I guess, you get the image And yes, the eyeball is green, because it started with Lily.
Eyeball --> (there's another reason for it, so the double-mentioning is intentional) it's on his left side, because in the left side of the brain is mainly concerned with the more rational things (if I'm not totally messing up information now)
Moth --> Moths remind some people of death (with the darkness and stuff ) And I've once heard that in history people believed if a moth lands on a sick person it takes this person's soul away and therefore the person will die. I has a double-meaning here; 1. pretty obvious: he died; 2. the moth is sitting on the right side of his head -> right side of the brain is in charge when it comes to emotions.
