I know there are about a thousand 'What Snape sees in the mirror of Erised' out there, but I wanted to do one myself, however, too. =)
I don't know if it comes out, but I tried to create a contrast with the rather black and the rather white side to underline the story - makes little sense now that I wrote the words... :XD:
Hope you'll like it a little.

Edit: I forgot to tell: It's Lily in the mirror. ;)

Thank you very much! =)
(I'm not sure if I understand you correctly - English isn't my first language - but Lily, Harry Potter's mother and the girl Snape met when he was only a little child and came to love, died. Snape felt responsible and on this picture she's in the mirror of erised because she's what Snape desires most. Either to return his love or to be at least simply still alive.
I hope I didn't misunderstand your question. =) )

Also, usually it's Snape pressing his hand up against the mirror to her, but I like how here it's the other way around and she's pushing against the glass with one hand as if she's trying to get out, or at least his attention (my view, not sure that it was intended this way).

You're right, there are like a thousand Snape/mirror of erised arts out there, but each one is different (I think because it's not something described in the books, or shown in the films, but it's something that is an obvious thing to happen that people imagine the idea in such different ways). And I love how you imagined it. Admittedly, I didn't really take into account the light and the dark in the first place, but I like how you used that constrast. In a clichéd sense I guess it's a bit like she is the light to his darkness, the happiness to his sad. I also like how you captured her ghostlike quality which isn't very common in other Erised arts, AND it must be really hard to do that. So I love her silvery, ghostlike quality and also the feel of the room they're in, with the smoke and everything. Beautiful!

love how tall/thin/snapish he looks here :D It also looks like he sort of got the sense that someone is there but doesn't actually see her even though she's like "hey, hey, YOU!!! YO!! helloooo?" :sniff:
